Poquito Arts - iconic art for you and your home

Poquito Arts features assemblage pieces designed with vintage and repurposed items that combine to create one-of-a-kind decorative art  that includes embellished nichos, shadowboxes, bottle caps, pictures and tiles inspired by iconic images

My designs are influenced by other cultures, travel and imagination. I find inspiration in anything vintage, old churches and Mexican Folk Art including Dia de los Muertos.

Falling on November 1st and 2nd each year, Dia de los Muertos coincides with the Western All Saints Day (and Halloween). In Mexico, these days are set aside for the remembrance of those who have passed on and traditionally involves families spending the day at the graves of their loved ones. They often bring offerings of items that their loved ones especially liked such as cigarettes, tequila, a favorite food and more. The marigold is the flower most associated with this celebration of life.
